In-line or off-line slitting
The ultrasonic technology is particularly well adapted to cut and seal latex coated fabrics. This solution avoid fraying and unravelling of the edges, increasing the conveyor belt life expectancy and eliminating problems occuring during the following rubber coating operations. Decoup+ has developed a complete range of solutions for in-line slitting (on looms, stenter frames or coating lines) or off-line slitting (on inspecting or slitting / rewinding machines). Edges reinforcement on drying and forming fabrics
Drying and forming fabrics are used in the paper and nonwoven industries as conveyor belts to form the webs at the early stages of the manufacturing process. The running speed of these components is very high (1000 m/min) and the constraints generate a quick deterioration of the edges. In this case, edges resistance is a key element of the fabric life expectancy. Decoup+ has developed an ultrasonic forging solution to reinforce fabric edges. This technology enables edge reinforcement and customised marking. Fabric edges are strongly reinforced, thus increasing the product durability, while web flexibility is preserved.
