Air and liquid filters are used in many industries and require precision woven and nonwoven engineered fabrics for filtration efficiency
| Nonwoven webs splicing Designed to be integrated onto existing lines, Decoup+ splicing benches are very compact modules. This equipment is available either for narrow webs (up to 800 mm) as a module to be fitted on a slitting / rewinding machine or doctor machine; or for wide webs (up to 3000 mm) as a splicing bench to be fitted on line.
The web splicing operation is performed in two steps. The first operation is an ultrasonic cutting action, which splices the two layers together. The second step is an ultrasonic lamination, which enables the splicing lines to recover exactly the same characteristics as those of the web. This new process produces unequalled quality joins. | | | download documentations and information
| Slitting and sealing of combi-filters fabrics Combi-filter fabrics are technical multi-layer composites in which an activated charcoal layer is enclosed between two (or more) nonwoven layers. The activated carbon layer is made of very small carbon particules that have the capability to absorb odors.
This filter medium is generally manufactured in wide widths and cut for the filter final make-up. The cutting operation frees the carbon particules, generating troubles during the following manufacturing operations. This leakage of particules will also decrease the filter efficiency.
Decoup+ has developed an ultrasonic cutting solution to seal together the nonwoven layers during the cutting operation and thus keep the activated carbon particules captive into the nonwoven matrix. | | | download documentations and information
| Slitting and tubes manufacturing of woven and nonwoven fabrics Filtration fabrics (for example monofilament textiles) are very accurate and expensive materials. The cutting operation taking place at the end of the manufacturing process, the material scrap must be as reduced as possible.
Decoup+ has developed over the years very accurate slitting solutions providing high quality sealed edges. This solutions are able to slit a very wide range of synthetic materials (textiles and nonwovens) of very various weights per square meter. These devices are also able to perform tubes manufacturing for liquid filtration applications.
These modules are designed to be integrated on existing machines (inspecting and slitting / rewinding machines). | | | download documentations and information
