Advanced Design Series: discover the new identity of our manual ultrasonic devices

Since the launch of our first range of ultrasonic cutting and welding, manual and on/off line equipment, in 1975, we have been trusted partners to industrial companies around the world. Fifty years later, our historic range of manual devices continues to evolve with the launch of the Advanced Design Series.

50 years of improvment

Why modernizing our ultrasonic device range?

This new chapter reflects our clear commitment to keeping an iconic product range evolving, as explained by Cyrille Pontet, General Manager of Spoolex :

« Because our devices are used every day in demanding industrial environments, it was important to us that their design should now reflect the level of quality and expertise they have represented for fifty years. »

Cyrille Pontet, General Manager of Spoolex

What is Advanced Design Series?

A range that combines industrial performance with a contemporary aesthetic.

With this new generation, we have redesigned the look, ergonomics and visual identity of our manual devices to create equipment featuring:

  • More modern, bolder forms, inspired by the worlds of aeronautics and speed.
  • A redesigned color palette, combining Decoup+’s iconic orange with a bold industrial tone.

The Advanced Design Series consists of three devices:

Our manual ultrasonic cutting and welding devices: what has changed?

An evolution that is primarily aesthetic and ergonomic!

What has changed:

  • Easier device identification thanks to a new visual identity
  • A new, more modern and distinctive design
  • Improved handling, drawing on the experience gained from working closely with our users
  • A new color palette, combining our signature orange with a bold industrial tone

What remains unchanged:

  • The same ultrasonic technology, proven over 50 years
  • The same reliability, cutting quality and welding performance
  • The same consumables and spare parts
  • The same simplicity, with the same familiar way of using your devices
What remains unchanged

With the Advanced Design Series, Decoup+ continues to evolve its historic range while preserving what has built its reputation for fifty years: reliable technology, high-performance equipment and dedicated, ongoing support for its users.

Frequent Ask Questions about Decoup+ manual ultrasonic devices

What should I do if I need spare parts for a manual device that is not part of the Advanced Design Series?

You can be confident: this evolution is primarily aesthetic and ergonomic. Your ultrasonic devices continue to perform at their best, spare parts remain unchanged, and our teams continue to support you just as they always have.

Who designed the new Advanced Design Series?

The Advanced Design Series is the result of a genuine collaborative effort involving the Decoup+ teams. The Design team focused on refining the device’s lines, forms and ergonomics. The Technical teams preserved the proven technology while supporting the evolution of the devices through their new exterior design. The Purchasing team selected the materials best suited to the product’s requirements. The Sales teams contributed their field experience, customer insights and knowledge of market developments. Marketing contributed to developing the new visual identity and color codes for the range. Finally, Management supported the project by securing human and financial resources.

What are the advantages of ultrasonic cutting and welding technology?

Ultrasonic technology converts an electrical signal into mechanical vibrations. These vibrations generate localized heat, enabling thermofusible materials (materials that melt under the effect of heat), to be cut or welded, including synthetic and technical textiles, nonwovens and thermoplastics. When the vibrations stop, the material immediately solidifies, producing a clean, precise finish without discoloration, burning or excess thickness. Fast and aesthetically pleasing, ultrasonic technology enables the finished product to be used directly, without additional processing.

The Decoup+ range includes both manual devices and units designed for integration into existing production lines, for cutting and/or welding operations. For more information about our technology, visit our Ultrasonic Technology page

What is industrial design?

Industrial design is the process of designing and developing everyday objects for mass production, combining functionality, aesthetics and technology.

Our close ties to the Saint-Étienne industrial region mean that industrial design is naturally part of our DNA. With its rich industrial heritage, UNESCO recognition and major institutions dedicated to creation and design, Saint-Étienne has long been a pioneer in bringing together art and manufacturing, from ribbons and textiles to bicycles and other industrial products)
